Plastic films for the Pharma industry
At Abersis, we take pride in leading the transformation towards more sustainable and technical pharmaceutical packaging, always maintaining our commitment to innovation and superior quality. We specialize in packaging solutions that not only comply with the strict regulations of the pharmaceutical sector but also drive sustainability through advanced materials and environmentally friendly processes.
Our collaboration with Klöckner Pentaplast, a world leader in pharmaceutical packaging technologies, strengthens our offering with high-performance films designed to protect sensitive pharmaceutical products. These materials not only provide an exceptional barrier against contaminants and adverse conditions but also support recycling efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of packaging.

MATERIALES MONO:
Mono-material PVC is a type of plastic exclusively for the manufacture of blisters in the pharmaceutical industry. It stands out for its transparency, which allows good visibility of the product, and its sealing capacity, which protects medicines from contaminants such as moisture and air. Being a single material, it is easier to recycle than multi-material blisters, contributing to environmental sustainability. In addition, we comply with the strict safety regulations required by the GMP standard, offer more efficient and economical production, and allow customizations according to specific needs, making it a preferred option for pharmaceutical packaging.

MATERIALES DUPLEX:
Composition AB or ABA, depending on whether it is symmetrical or asymmetrical. PVC-PVdC (Dichloride). Composed of a layer (mono PVC) plus a PVdC coating (dichloride). These materials can have different degrees of PVdC coating from 20grs to 120 as standard and can be manufactured in two different ways.
1. Asymmetric DUPLEX:AB composition, with PVC-PVdC, as they said with a surface coating. These materials can be slightly stressed during the thermoforming process.
2. Symmetric DUPLEX:ABA composition, with PVC+PVdC+PVC, has a more protected barrier than the previous one since it is not exposed and also has better performance during the thermoforming process since it does not stress as much as the asymmetric ones.

MATERIALES TRIPLEX:
Triplex plastics in the pharmaceutical packaging industry are materials composed of three layers of different plastics, which improve the properties of the packaging. These layers provide effective barriers against, for example: moisture, oxygen, UV radiation…, protecting pharmaceutical products and prolonging their shelf life. In addition, they offer excellent sealing, flexibility and resistance, facilitating their handling and transport. The customization of the properties allows them to be adapted to the specific needs of each product. Although they present challenges in recyclability, the evolution in their manufacturing has led to the development of more sustainable options that meet the required quality and safety standards.
